Course Details
(x) Consultation and Sales
Teaches six stages of consultation to include - establishing a client
needs - evaluate clients hair type- choosing method of attachment - choosing
hair source, colours and blending - length and balance - discussing cut
colour finish.
Teaches an effective and proven sales process and how to deliver this
technique appropriately to each individual client. Includes - Evaluating
the client - product delivery - selling yourself - giving product confidence
- closing a sale On completion a trainee will effectively be able to consult,
advise and price a prospective client on hair extensions.
** Recommended Salon Owner / Manager.
**Trainee recommended to have completed Attachment Methods previous.
(1) Attachment Methods
Teaches the various methods of hair extension attachment when, why and
how to determine their use.
On completion a trainee will have extensive knowledge in the practices
of hair extensions. They will be able to choose a method to best suit
a clients hair type, their required finish or given lifestyle.

(2) Placement and Direction
A detailed course of Extension Placement and Direction to create many
modern classic or individual looks to suit different hair types.
On Completion a trainee will be able to effectively create any style
required by any attachment method chosen.
**Trainee must have completed (1)Attachment Methods
(3) Halo Weaving ****
Teaches a purely organic, non harmful method of extensions and how to
braid, weave and sew without the use of chemicals or solvents.
On completion a trainee will be able to apply a full head of halo weave
extensions to a model head.
Assessment 30 days.
(4) Braid Bonding
Teaches a purely organic, non harmful method of individual bonds without
the use of chemicals or solvents.
On completion a trainee will be able to apply individual bonded extensions
to a model head.
(5) Glue Bonding****
Teaches the Glue Bond method of extension attachment and how to ensure
minimum damage to natural hair.
On completion a trainee will be able to apply glue bond extensions to
a model head.
Assessment 30 days.
(6) Chemical Removal****
Teaches the safe use and removal of chemicals used to release Glue Bond
Extensions. How to minimise damage to natural hair and scalp.
On completion a trainee will have the knowledge to remove Glue bond extensions
both quickly and safely.
(7) Braids****
Teaches a slip knot attachment with no glue or solvents based on a traditional
African weaving technique.
On completion a trainee will be able to achieve individual flash points
or a full head of braids.
(8) Dreadlocks****
Teaches both permanent traditional dreds and non permanent silky.
On completion a trainee will be able to achieve these two methods.
Point of Sale and Photography
A basic photography course using extensions to create various looks for
photography, and designing your own point of sale literature.
On completion a trainee will be able to create their own branded point
of sale literature.
** must be an NVQ 11 or 111 hairdresser and XS qualified Extension Technician

a method only and do not guarantee the longevity of hair extensions staying
in a persons hair. This can only be determined on assessment after each
30 days of practicing a method (a minimum of 32 hours recommended) |
